A very solid piece of accessory, definitely doesn’t look like a toy, has some realism to it. It mounts firmly on the rails, doesn’t shift/bend at all. The PEQ external shell is a great look, doesn’t look cheap. If you have the internal electronics potted, it does give the PEQ a bit of weight and secures the internal electronics. Highly recommend you get it potted, its worth the extra charge at check out.
The buttons pads and clicks feel great on the PEQ and pressure switch. The crane cable connector mounts firmly and doesn’t not come loose or doesn’t rotate easily. The rotary switch for the laser and light settings is solid and clicks firmly. The laser and light covers hang on well and are firm. Battery caps are solid and don’t rotate easily, batteries are secure. The PEQ laser appears to be zeroed and ready up to a certain distance.
The PEQ stickers/labels are high quality, it seems to be water resistant and the adhesive bonds firmly to surface of the PEQ, doesn’t come off easily.
The Old School model seems to be better than the IR Illuminator model give the huge price difference. If you personally can’t afford night vision, then there’s no need to get the IR Illuminator model. The Old School model is just fine.
Overall, it is a firm product for under $80, no other PEQ replica comes close to this quality at this price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Very solid, doesn’t have the plasticy sound when you play around, doesn’t flex at all, weighty.
Clicks are nice, pads are nice, especially that real steel spec remote switch.
The laser caps are a bit smaller than the real ones, a little odd but the real one cost like a dollar so doesn’t really matter to me.
The only real downside will be the mount, the anodize job is great, but the style of the mount is 100% different from the real one, a little disappointing.
But overall, for $70, I couldn’t really complain, no other peq2 Relpica, I mean NO OTHER peq2 Relpica is as good as solid as what somogear is offering.
